Parents
It seems like everywhere you look, there’s a new parenting approach. Everyone has their own philosophy, there are new, flashy terms, and people can be fiercely vocal about how their way is “right.” Of course, on some level you know this isn’t true. There is no “right” way. But the stakes are high, and you love your kids and would do anything to give them the best start in life.
Therapy for parents who are navigating this stage of life can look a couple different ways. I offer parenting support to one or both parents, or any combination of the caregiving team. I offer direct coaching to parents with their children through the PCIT (Parent-Child Interaction Therapy )model. And I offer individual therapy to parents who want to shine a light on elements of their upbringings and histories that interfere with their relationship with their kids and/or identity as a mother or father.

pregnancy and postpartum
This is a sacred time of life, but life doesn’t slow down to accommodate the reflection and receptivity that are called for. For anyone with anxiety, self-criticism, or relational trauma, pregnancy can bring a whole new host of inner challenges. Especially for those who struggle with perfectionism, this time can start to feel overwhelming. Partners also bring their histories, unexamined beliefs and values, and fears to this stage.
Therapy during pregnancy and postpartum is a tangible way to nurture yourself in this time when you truly need and deserve extra care. Your gentle care and attention to your inner world extends to your baby. We offer therapy to both pregnant mothers, mothers during the postpartum period, and through the parenting journey. We also work with the partners of pregnant mothers to support their transition to parenthood.

Adults with Anxiety
Living with anxiety can feel completely overwhelming, exhausting, and can lead to feelings of hopelessness if not treated. Feeling overloaded by options and hard on yourself for not being better more decisive? Are you crippled by your own inner critic who never lets you enjoy what’s around you, but rather picks out all the way’s you’re messing up?
Therapy can help. Anxiety is the most common mental health concern for adults in the U.S.. The good news is that with the help of therapy, anxiety can subside. Not only that, therapy for anxiety often reduces symptoms and helps to uncover unexpected richness and depth to life.
